WCMX - Deploying Cisco Connected Mobile Experiences


The Deploying Cisco Connected Mobile Experiences (WCMX) v2.0 is a 2-day instructor-led course that introduces the learners to using the Cisco Unified Access Infrastructure and the Cisco Service Provider Wi-Fi to configure, administer, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize utilization of mobile content while gaining meaningful analytics. This course discusses how to utilize location capabilities while providing interactive useful mobile content, how to utilize location services to obtain optimum positioning and tracking, how to utilize analytics to provide meaningful data analysis and troubleshooting, as well as how to configure, administer and manage interactive onboarding.

This is an update of the previous version of the course; brought about by the significant changes made to the CMX software, which runs on the Cisco Mobility Services Engine. The CMX software was revised from version 8.x to version 10.x to signify the magnitude of the changes made. Changes which include a new core operating system, a move to open source database components, and a new GUI.

Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:
• Describe available location techniques in a Wi-Fi location tracking system. Define the Cisco UWN requirements to support CMX, and provide a high-level overview of the capabilities provided by CMX;
• Articulate the impact of AP positioning and Client behavior have on the ability to accurately determine the physical location of a client along with accurately estimating the additional load the existing network infrastructure will see when adding Location Tracking and Alerting capabilities to a Cisco UWN;
• Identify and navigate the various types of analysis processes that can be conducted as part of the CMX solution;
• Describe and implement the available CMX onboarding solutions.

Pré Requisitos

It is recommended, but not required, that students have the following knowledge and skills before attending this course:
• Networkinh Knowledge (Rouitng & Vlans);
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Windows networking;
• Familiarity with Cisco Controller AireOS Configuration.
